The Iowa
Association of Activity Professionals was organized
over 25 years ago. IAAP offers education and
networking for activity professionals across the
entire state. It is governed by a 10 member Board
of Directors that are elected by the attendees.

Our mission is to
provide "quality of life" for our clients through
an on going balance of physical, mental, spiritual,
and emotional activities. We encourage
self-expression, self-discovery and life long
learning. We help the activity professional
accomplish this by providing educational
opportunities, networking, resource exchange and
individual peer support.
The Iowa Activity
Professionals Association (IAAP) is comprised of
those professionals who work primarily in geriatric
settings; retirement, assisted living, adult day
programs, senior centers, and long term nursing
facilities.
