Certification

There are basically 4 ways to become certified and they are as follows:

ACTIVITY CONSULTANT CERTIFIED, ACC.
The cost is $75 for 2 years. Standards that must be met are:

Track 1 -

Academic Education:Master's Degree.
2,000 hours activity experience within the last 5 years
40 clockhours of continuing education within the last 5 years.
Consultingexperience: 200 hours of activity consulting experience within the last 3 years.

Track 2 -

Academic Education: Bachelor's Degree
4,000 hours activity experience within the last 5 years
40 clock hours of continuing education within the last 5 years
Consulting experience: 200 hours of activity consulting experience within the last 3 years.

Track3 -

Academic Education: Bachelor's Degree
4,000 hours experience within the last 5 years
40 clock hours of continuing education within the last 5 years.Consulting experience.

ACTIVITY DIRECTOR CERTIFIED,ADC The cost is $65 for 2 years.

Standards that must be met are:

Track1 -

A. Academic Education: Bachelor's Degree
B. 4,000 hours activity within the last 5 years
C. 30 clock hours of continuing education

Track 2 -

A. Academic Education: Associates Degree
B. 6,000 hours activity experience within the last 5 years
C. 30 clock hours of continuing education within the last 5 years

Track 3 -

A. Academic Education: 60 college semester credits
B. 6,000 hours activity experience within the last 5 years
C. 30 clock hours of continuing education within the last 5 years

Track 4 -

1. Academic Education: NCCAP 90-hour Modular Education Program for Activity Professionals Part 1 and the 90-hour Practicum (formerly Basic Education Course).
2. NCCAP Modular Education Program for Activity Professionals Part 2 and 90-hour Practicum (MEPAP-2).
3. 12 semester college credits B. 6,000 hours activity experience within the last 5 years.
4. 30 clock hours of continuing education within the last 5 years.

ACTIVITY ASSISTANT CERTIFIED, AAC The cost is $55 for 2 years.

Track 1 -

A. Academic Education: 30 college semester credits
B. 2,000 hours activity experience within the last 5 years
C. 20 clock hours of continuing education within the last 5 years.

Track 2 -

A. Academic Education: High school diploma or GED, plus 6 college credits
B. 4,000 hours activity experience within the last 5 years
C. 20 clock hours ofcontinuing education within the last 5 years

Track 3 -

A. Academic Education: High school diploma or GED, plus the 90-hour Modular Education Program for Activity Professionals Part 1 and the 90-hour Practicum (MEPAP-1) for Activity Professionals.
B. 2,000 hours activity experience within the last 5 years
C. 20 clock hours of continuing education within the last 5 years.
